LMS data showed the percentage of students accessing course content. All courses showed declining access over time, reinforcing that students seek what they need for assessment. Courses B and C had 100% access for most topics due to careful alignment with assessment tasks.

VoiceThread Data

Three courses used VoiceThread with varying participation:

  • Course B: 34 hours 38 minutes total engagement
  • Course C: 13 hours 39 minutes
  • Course E: 5 hours 56 minutes

Key factors affecting participation:

  1. Faculty encouragement and modeling
  2. Assessment alignment
  3. Course structure and timing

 

Student Survey Results

Survey responses (n=75) showed positive perceptions:

  • Connected to lecturer/tutor: Mean 3.79
  • Lecturer knew who I was: Mean 3.99
  • Lecturer was supportive: Mean 4.51
  • Felt listened to: Mean 4.16
  • Able to collaborate with peers: Mean 3.77
  • Had opportunities to choose when studied: Mean 4.54
  • Had opportunities to choose how studied: Mean 4.50
