Week 1 – Activity 2

  1. My previous university teacher for Motion Design was an incredible leader. He was constantly honest with all his students when critiquing work; yet remained inspiring as to help better the work. He spoke constantly about the future of this business and how we can all succeed in becoming the best versions of ourselves. The effect this had on me provided me with a clearer insight on where I wanted to go in the future and how I could achieve the goals that I have set for myself.
  • I believe that I would make a great leader as I am constantly trying to improve and adapt to my surroundings. I pride myself in my honesty even when it’s difficult or uncomfortable as I believe being dishonest to someone is unfair to them. I am constantly thinking and focusing on the future to ensure that not only am I successful in what I do today, but I can make sure I stay successful in all future endeavours. I try my best to always be motivating and positive when leading a team and always strive to make sure others feel the same.
  • Cultural safety is all about creating a place that is safe and welcoming for all cultures. Cultural safety is about providing a safe place to share history and knowledge with everyone about different cultures and ensuring that it is a judgement free space.
