Cultural safety is all about creating a place that is safe and welcoming for all cultures. Cultural safety is about providing a safe place to share history and knowledge with everyone about different cultures and ensuring that it is a judgement free space.
I believe this was quite a broad definition regarding ‘cultural safety’, yet I believe that is still applies and covers everything we’ve spoken about in this course. This course has definitely provided more insight on the topics of inclusivity not only to different cultures but to the LGBTIQA+ community as well. Understanding more about how different cultures and communities work with definitely reflect in my artistic practices as I have the knowledge to remain inclusive.
