I don’t think promoting multiculturalism hinders us from a unified national identity. I think that it’s just one part that helps us connect even further. Australia prides itself on its openness and willingness to accept everyone. Promoting multiculturalism IS part of our identity and culture, as Australia has developed substantially over the years.
