I managed two printing sessions in my studio over the summer holidays, before my youngest daughter got sick and everything in life came to a grinding halt for 6 weeks.
In my first session I used my repeat lino block to emboss into some absolutely beautiful cotton rag paper that I had purchased from my local art store. I have since taken the paper back in for ‘show & tell’ and they are ordering me many more sheets. Anyway I have wanted to try blind embossing for quite some time. I attempted it with my jigsaw lino block early last with not great results. I am so pleased with how these prints turned out (below).

My 2nd print session involved adding colour. When I had previously printed with this block, in a repeat pattern, it had been in black, so I was really looking forward to printing off some single prints in an assortment of colours. I did pink, yellow, blue/green and then made my way to a lovely emerald green. As usual, I colour mixed the colours myself.

Not as much as I had hoped to achieve in the summer break but it was something and it definitely ended up being better than nothing :-/
