Artefact 6.1: This artefact demonstrates by capabilities towards APST standards 6.1- Identify and plan professional learning needs, and 6.3- Engage with colleagues and improve practice. After setting myself a goal to implement the “Essential Skills for Classroom Management” (Education Queensland, 2007) into my lessons, I requested the Deputy Principal complete classroom profiling on one of my lessons to provide objective feedback about my progress. I was then able to use the data collected in the profile to reflect and analyse on my practice, identifying areas for improvement.
