Artist Statement:
My work explores ideas of identity, belonging, and place, often through the lenses of sport, nature, and culture. I experiment mostly across digital and film photography, videography, printmaking, digital media, and sculpture, using both intuitive, spontaneous methods and careful, precise techniques depending on the medium.
I am drawn to projects that reflect community and connection, such as murals inspired by communities, and I enjoy exploring the intersections between hobbies, sport, and social and political themes. My dual experience of being born in South London and growing up in regional Queensland informs the perspectives I bring to my work, combining different environments and cultural influences. Through my practice, I aim to create pieces that encourage viewers to pause, reflect, and consider the world around them.
