This Portfolio will provide a holistic view of your capabilities in the cyber security space and show your transferable skills from prior life experience.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLO’s):

Assessment 1: Logbook Reflection on Cyber Security Activities

Task:

  • Reflect on the cyber security tasks and activities recorded in the logbook throughout the internship so far.
  • Provide insights on what was learned, challenges encountered, and how these experiences contributed to professional growth.
  • Identify areas for further training or specialisation based on logbook entries.

Assessment 2:

Task: Demonstrate achievement of the six BCYS Program Learning Objectives (PLOs) with supporting evidence.

Assessment 3: Completion and Submission of Cyber Security Logbook

Task:

  • Submit a completed logbook that documents daily/weekly cyber security activities performed during the Professional Placement.
  • Each entry should outline the task, skills applied, tools used, key takeaways, and any issues faced.
  • The logbook should serve as evidence of practical engagement in cyber security related work.

Assessment 4: Draft Report

Task: Submit a draft report that reflects on tasks and activities recorded in the logbook throughout the Professional Placement and provides a structure for the final presentation (Assessment 5 below). The report should include:

  • Reflect on the cyber security tasks and activities recorded in the logbook throughout the Professional Placement.
  • What you have done and learned during the Professional Placement, including Cyber Security knowledge and skills, with details. Provide with dot point example/s.
  • What challenges/difficulties did you encounter during your Professional Placement. Provide with dot point examples.
  • Identify future work, problem/s, cyber specialisations you would want to work on in the future. Provide dot point example/s.

Assessment 5: Presentation

Task: Deliver an individual Cyber Security presentation to a panel covering Professional Placement learnings, challenges, and future career goals.
