I am a multi-disciplinary artist working in ceramics, textiles, printmaking, drawing, painting and photography. Based in Toowoomba, my art explores themes including, but not limited to, the human body (primarily the female form), personal family history, health (physical and mental), healing, scars, repair, and feminised crafts. Since my practice includes a variety of media, I work out of various studio spaces, including a home studio and shared spaces at UniSQ and Toowoomba Art Society.
This exhibition, “The Intimacy of Healing”, is a deeply personal exploration of trauma and healing: physical, mental, familial and societal. Creating art from a feminine perspective, utilising feminised crafts, overlaid with a knowledge of science and a sense of curiosity.
