When it comes to engaging professionally, my personal principles revolve around three key elements: planning and executing effective teaching and learning, creating and nurturing safe and supportive learning environments, and thoughtfully evaluating, providing feedback, and reporting on student accomplishments. Inspired by Hattie (2008) and Marzano (2007), I firmly believe that meticulous planning is the foundation for teaching success. This drives me to prioritise aligning curriculum goals with pedagogical strategies, catering to individual learning styles, and incorporating technologies to enhance engagement. I am dedicated to cultivating and maintaining a learning space that promotes a sense of safety and belonging for all learners.

Upholding my personal professional philosophy, I recognise the vital importance of creating and maintaining a supportive and safe learning environment, in alignment with Maslows Heirachy of Needs theory (1943), (Burleson & Thoron, 2014). Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and its relation to learning and achievement. Emphasising positive teacher-student relationships which embrace diversity, and fostering inclusivity are fundamental principles that highlight the crucial role of a safe learning space. I am committed to incorporating both formative and summative assessment strategies, and providing regular and timely feedback which are key aspects of my teaching beliefs, serving as a stimulus for student growth and continual improvement.

My professional beliefs are based on the idea of holistic commitment, emphasising effective planning, supportive environments, and comprehensive assessment strategies. These align perfectly with current educational research and scholarly discussions
