I am interested in the ability that machine learning has in enabling machines to perform tasks that would otherwise only be possible for us, humans. So far, it has been exciting to use machine learning to explain complex data structures and make more informed decisions.
Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management
As someone with a degree in business, I am intrigued by how various IR processes help organizations quickly find useful information within a vast storage of data and then rank the results by level of relevance through the means of search queries. I am very eager to explore how these techniques can enhance operational performance and result in faster decision-making processes.
Data Visualization
This area is one that is extremely relevant in the data science field, and it has given me the opportunity to harness my python programming skills by making use of pandas library to generate graphs and charts that provide understanding into the intricates of graphical representation of information and data. I am drawn to how data visualization tools provide me with an easily accessible way to see and understand trends, visualize outliers, and recognize insightful patterns in data.
