Coral Airens Wilmott is a proud Aboriginal woman living and creating on the traditional lands of the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples, now known as Townsville. She acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land and pays her respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Having recently discovered her Indigenous heritage. This newfound connection has deepened her sense of identity and belonging, enriching her artistic expression with a newfound depth of meaning and purpose.
As she continues her journey as an artist and educator, Coral is committed to nurturing the next generation of young Australians voices and empowering young minds to explore their own cultural identity through art. Whether in the classroom or the studio, she strives to create a safe and inclusive space where creativity can flourish and individual voices can be heard.
