Kylie Stafford brings energy and passion to this week’s presentation. There is so much to take out of it. I have not had the opportunity to chunk the video into smaller digestible bits as yet, so just watch in your own timings and come back to it when you feel like it.
Kylie’s approach is all about de-escalation and building positive relationships.
Thankyou Kylie for your presentation. So many great references. I have noted particularly: relevant, reasonable routines; and specific, measurable, observable expectations (and non-compliance statements).
The POOCh options hark back to McLennan and Peel’s Supportive Learning Environment course, with less invasive/more invasive-disruptive options.
I intend researching the AC Personal and Social Capability continuum, as my focus has been on the academic requirements, but all parts of the curriculum are important, and it is the affective skills that will be most helpful to students lives.
AND, you took a break at 11 o’clock, and it WAS 11 o’clock exactly when I was watching it!!
