‘It feels like meditation, walking in these places, feeling the soft breeze glide over my skin, the sun-warmed rocks under my feet, the sound of the birds and the gurgling creek, so close that I can smell the water. It only takes a second to take a photograph, one I will look at again in some future time, and always I am taken back to the ‘feel’ of the place. These images will often inspire my visual arts practice. I am constantly in awe of the natural beauty that surrounds me and feel very grounded and nourished when I move within these landscapes.’
