My strength and true love lies in the use of text throughout my work. I manipulate words creating comments on themes of body image and mental illness/health. These issues form a large part of my narrative.
My work is executed through artist books, sewing, and drawing using text throughout. It is largely two dimensional. Currently I am focused on constructing self portrait paper dolls. They are a portrayl of my life reflecting different mental states depicted in different clothing and hairstyles.
I aspire to contribute to the art field by continuing produce artist books and text driven art.
