Exploring curriculum-based global collaboration in higher education

A Learning and Teaching Futures Portfolio Initiative

About this research project

This research project is an outcome from Julie’s participation in the University of Southern Queensland Early Career Researcher program in 2023. Her passion is for connected and collaborative learning with a goal of supporting curriculum embedded gloabl learning across institutions, disciplines and with academics. In post-COVID online learning scenarios the world continues to struggle with facilitating effective cross-institutional learning where students learn with, not just about. Julie’s goal is to ‘flatten’ the learning landscape to provide student choice, accessibility and equivalence through multiple global learning opportunities throughout a program. It is envisaged this research will lead into larger projects and attract support as it builds an associated community of practice and shares relevant outcomes for those wanting opportunities for students in a world where hope and perseverance is paramount.
