Online global collaboration encourages students to learn with others from different cultures but is not typically embedded into formal curricula in higher education.
Well-designed online global collaborative learning has been found to transform learning and enhance skills such as effective communication, intercultural awareness and global perspectives.
This video is a shorter version of the keynote given by Dr Julie Lindsay on Day 1 of International Digital Week at the Universite Cote D’Azur, Nice, France in 2025. Framing “digital bridges” as both metaphor and method, she explores the transformative potential of global education at the intersection of digital transformation, AI, and cross-cultural connection.
