– ‘Five Stages of Grief’ – I thought I understood what grief was; I was wrong. Losing someone I had in my life for 18 years, who was there when I had my first cry, the first time I rode a bike, learnt to cook, and eventually learnt to drive. I never thought the day would come that control pushed us over the edge, yet here I am. Experiencing the five stages of grief when the person isn’t even dead.
