˖᯽ ݁˖ ‘Mum: 2’ ˖᯽ ݁˖ This ceramic jug, engraved in glazed floral designs, is symbolic to my childhood. The simple repetitive action of drawing flowers repeatedly at such a young age later developed into my love for drawing, but it also represents how different adulthood is compared to being a child. Denying my deteriorating relationship with my mother, I hope to grasp some memory of my younger days when I still had her in my life.

˖᯽ ݁˖ ‘Eat Me Out’ ˖᯽ ݁˖ The image to the left is a reference to receiving or giving oral. The organic cup is a depiction of a woman’s vulva, and the two handles on either side are the two legs to hold onto when drinking out of the object. This represents acceptance of sexual activities and the normality of them in the 21st century. Recognizing how feminist artists are embracing women or depictions of their anatomy to convey a deeper meaning of feminism and female sexuality.

˖᯽ ݁˖ ‘My Monthly Ritual’ ˖᯽ ݁˖ This clay work represents a ritual object that I find myself dreading every month. However, there is now an acknowledgment of a woman’s period, and no shame in stating the fact that you are currently bleeding. I still hate the effects of it. Bloating, cramps, the blood, the never-ending collection of tampons and pads. I thought that if I’m dealing with this for forty years, I might as well make a work towards it.
