Jasper Trunks fell in love with abstract art early on in her life, finding interest in the use of colour to depict movement and hidden meanings. Most of Trunks work is auto biographical and tells stories that are embedded with subjects of mental health, insecurities and memory. As an emerging artist, Trunks uses a range of mediums and techniques to create her work and is currently working in print-making and gouache.

Trunks hails from Queensland, Australia and is currently undergoing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Queensland in visual art. Trunks’ mother is also an artist and says “Growing up around an artist has shown me both the difficulty and the joy in setting up exhibitions, gaining funding and creating. It made me more appreciative for the hard work that goes into a painting or drawing that we see on the wall”.

Jasper has shown in many group exhibitions including fundraising events at the Brisbane Rotary Art Show and Brouhaha Gallery ‘Women Only II’. She has also been a part of her local Universities exhibition, Fill your Eyes II.
