Print Making Resolves

Stencilling – Work 1

This painting was created off a series of exploration on Stencilling, creating your own custom stencils for screen print of spray paint.

Squeeka translates my theatre-restaurant persona into a painted self-portrait. That environment allowed me to express myself creatively and emotionally through makeup and costume, shaping a character that existed somewhere between performance and identity.

Drawing from graffiti and stencil art, I used acrylic and spray paint to convey the chaotic yet intentional energy of that period. Layered phrases—taken from staff conversations and my own words—create texture and reflect the atmosphere that formed the character.

The piece is anchored by a stamped date, marking the moment Squeeka was born and grounding the work in its origin.

Lino cutting & Printing: Work-2

This print was created off a series techniques revolving Lino cuts and printing.

Fuji Ramen continues my exploration of ramen-shop imagery and Japanese aesthetics. I created a lino cut inspired by the glow of a neon shop sign, drawing on elements of the Trash Polka style—bold black forms, striking red accents, and expressive, sporadic marks. The red and black palette was chosen for its strong visual contrast, enhancing the sense of movement and giving the work the sharp, graphic energy often found in street signage.

The piece balances traditional and contemporary influences, with lino printing and acrylic paint refining the final image. Even the accidental smudges contribute to its organic, hand-crafted character, reinforcing the lively, atmospheric quality I wanted the work to hold.

Concertina Book: Work-3

This piece was part of a series exploring concertina style artist books and their covers. Creating the narrative between front to back.

Creation is a concertina artist book designed to unfold like a small, contained gallery. The work is built around six primary pages and a secondary ten-page mini gallery, allowing the narrative to expand gradually as the viewer moves through the piece. Each Viking rune sigil carries its own meaning, and together they form the overarching concept of creation.

Nature is central to the work. I used natural materials to mark each page, pairing them with greens and burnt sienna to reinforce the earthy palette, while the white rune symbols serve as clear focal points. The concertina format provides a dimensional, sculptural quality, and the vintage-patterned cover adds an intimate, organic feel to the final piece.
