The Artist

If I could express my true self in words, there would be no reason to create. This adapted quote from Edward Hopper perfectly reflects my personal experience and meaning in life. I am not just an artist; I consider myself a creator.
As a creator of art, I also craft experiences, interpretations, ideas, and avenues for escape. As a self-taught artist, I take pride not only in creating artworks but also in developing the experiences that accompany them. I have been involved in the art world in various capacities for the past 15 years, drawing on my past, present, and future lived experiences to create whatever emerges from my fingertips.
I have always believed that the best art is the kind that provokes questions, evokes feelings, or leaves the viewer wanting more. I enjoy experimenting with a range of mixed media, using various mediums, materials, and objects to convey my vision for each piece I create. I am particularly enthusiastic about textures and love incorporating them into my work. The styles that inspire me and truly capture my feelings and perspective include abstract expressionism, romanticism, realism, and modern contemporary art.
I have no expectations that everyone will appreciate my work, but if it stirs something within them, I consider that a success. I create simply because I feel compelled to, and I can’t find a reason not to.
