I have very basic tools but I make it work.I cut sections of clay using some fishing line that I found in the shed.I rolled my lump of clay into a bowl and then pinched a hole in the middle. I then pinched the walls of the bowl out making the bowl shape.I also used my fingers to shape the bottom of the bowl to get the thickness as even as I could.I scraped the uneven levels of clay off the top of the bowl to make it the same level.Cutting back the bowl with fishing line.I also used the fishing line in sections to cut back un even parts.After cutting backshaping the bowl.Shaping the bowlI then used other tools to start refining the shape of the bowl The finished product.
