Artist Statement
Art has been an interest to my most of my life. I found drawing to be relaxing. I usually get lost in my art, loosing track of time. I have been exploring various Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art styles and found Tommy McRae, Albert Namatjira and Anthony “Boy” Turnbull to be the influences and inspirations in my artwork.
I work with graphite for my drawings and acrylic for my paintings. I am inspired by Namatjira’s paintings and am interested in developing my skills using watercolours.
