I am passionate about many forms of storytelling including visual, written and oral. I am especially interested in fantasy as a genre as I feel it provides a complete escape from the anxieties and mundanities of everyday life. That is the driving force behind my work; the desire to provide myself and my audience with refuge from the real world.
In my artistic practice, I work in a wide variety of mediums including both digital and traditional. I favour graphite, alcohol markers and acrylic paint. The most common subjects of my artworks are human figures, often characters designed for the novels I am writing. More broadly, my work explores storytelling, mythology and the human experience.
