Lexie Stretton is an emerging actor, writer, director and drama facilitator.

Recently graduated in November 2023, Lexie Stretton has completed a bachelor of theatre with a major in acting, theatre making and a minor in film at the Toowoomba campus, University of Southern Queensland.

Having studied film for a year, during 2020 Lexie decided to take the leap, switching to a bachelor of theatre and pursue her passion for acting.

Her theatre acting highlights include, ‘Moth'(first year production), ‘R and J:Swiftly’ (second year production) both directed by Travis Dowling and ‘Beached’ (third year production) directed by Jason Klarwein.

Lexie was apart of the ‘It’s Complicated: An Independent Theatre Festival’ at the beginning of 2023 where she was apart of the marketing team, directed ‘The Coming World’ by Christopher Shinn and acted as Helen in ‘Sweet Phoebe’ as apart of her third year assessment.

As her last final assessment for her degree, Lexie wrote an original play over semester 2 called ‘Mothers Day is Tomorrow’ where she then presented a reading with actors in collaboration with director, Cherish Zimmerle. This play is still in development.

As an emerging artist, Lexie has moved to the West End of Brisbane/Meanjin as of February 2024. She is currently apart of the Underground Theatre’s Writers Room and is developing her play, ‘Mothers Day is Tomorrow’ in TheatrePUNK’s BabyPUNK program. Lexie Stretton is currently seeking representation and experiences to further hone her craft.
