Module 2
This module explores posters and zines, both of which are highly replicable mediums. My posters translated members of staff into north American crytpids to share the experience of being watched. It became a sort of “happening”, where I put the posters up over 2 weekends, so that they popped up while no one was around to see where they came from.
My zine utilisies the prints I made in the following module to create a satirical woman’s mid-century magazine. It dissects the facistic rhetoric that orbits gender performance. It dehumanises the woman in the magazine, replacing their heads with spiders, also implying those not performing their role (or performing the wrong one) are monstrous.
