I have created a vessel which can either hold a scented candle or a small saucer with scented oils. The object was made from rolled clay which was cut into two slabs that were attached to the oval base with slip and hatching. The outside of the candle holder was decorated with coiled clay attached to the outside.
I use candles and essential oils everyday as part of my night time routine. Candles create a calming atmosphere and provide me with a focal point for concentration or meditation. Additionally, the scent of a candle can further enhance relaxation and emotional balance.
Scented candles are candles infused with fragrant essential oils or synthetic fragrances that release their scent when burned, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I particularly like sandalwood, mandarin, lavender and geranium scented candles and love the warm glow of the flickering flame.
