Archfey is my Module 4 work for VIS2010. Archfey is a work depicting my interpretation of fairies combining the common concepts of winged girl with some concepts of biblical angels.
This work untilises three of the tequniques taught in cermaics this semseter; coil building, hollow form and slip casting. The cermaic body is made from Walkers 10 stoneware clay with a black Deco underglaze. The sculptural elements include acrylic wings, wire and film wings, and wool hair.
