this work is a teacup mimic as my Module 1 resolved work for VIS2010.
A Mimic is a fantasy creature previlent in games and media commonly charecterised as a chest. The Mimic is an ambush predator that takes the shape of inanimate objects to catch prey, i used a teacup for this work as it relates to the rycyling objects through deconstruction and reconstruction. Conceptually this work bring to life preloved items and creates a means in which i can recycle a childhood object to intetergrate it in my current life. This work is partially inspired by the sculptures of the American artist Glen Martin Taylor.
