Artist Biography & Artist Statement
Sinead grew up surrounded by inspiring artists all across her local area. These creative people helped to fuel her interest in the arts and to pursue a creative career. Sinead is currently a student at UniSQ studying a bachelor of visual art and community wellbeing and hopes to develop a career as an artist that incorporates the community into her practice. Sinead resides on Giabal land in the country town of Toowoomba.
I hope that my art provides the space for viewers to reflect on what is meaningful to themselves. I enjoy flipping the script onto the audience, not to necessarily see a reaction, but to ingrain thinking and contemplation. I have an interest in sculptural work as well as painting and printmaking and would love to develop a practice that incorporates these beautiful mediums. I am often influenced by the peoples emotions and love to create various ways that I can gather a response.
