Life is too serious sometimes! So I made a pair of duck feet. As part of my presentation of the work, the kids and I went out to have a play at the local birdlife park to get inspired and take some fun pics and videos : )
This work relates to functionality and disruption of movement. Earlier this year I had a major hip surgery repair and was unable to walk for some time. During my rehab period I channelled the frustrations into an EVA foam construction which disrupts our natural movement pattern and creates a need to focus attention on something otherwise taken for granted. Relearning movement patterns has been an ongoing theme for me this year. Can’t wait to kick 2021 to the kerb!!
