Artist’s Statement
My Crazy Creature contains the head of a cockatiel, body of a fish, and legs and mandibles of a spider. These creatures were chosen as they are my favourite animals and also allowed me to take feathers my pet cockatiel had dropped and incorporate it into my work. It is created with the intention of comfort, as the materials are all provide textures I enjoy as well as the animals I chose being associated with positive experiences.
