Let’s consider…
Feeling good should be a focus for us all and in my experience, it takes time to look after yourself. Many of us can see the effects of time being spent on the outward appearance of the body. For some people this may mean their hair is well groomed, cut and tendered, fingernails and toenails are manicured. For others it may mean a toned fit body or tailored stylish clothes. We all approach looking after our outward appearance in different ways depending on what we perceive as important and where we focus our times and funds. There are also many other areas where we need to focus our attention in terms of looking ourselves. Consider positive thinking, exercise, diet, and sleep.
Food preparation can be shared by the whole family and in sharing how and why we prepare certain food we can educate our children about the importance of healthy eating. Food preparation also affords the opportunity for connection and belonging. We can look after our bodies in other ways as well. A basic way to do this is simply to ensure that we teach ourselves to think positively and nurture attributes such as resilience, mindfulness, hope, optimism and wisdom and act kindly. What are your thoughts?
Warm regards,
Susan
