Emma Cash | Curriculum Vitae

Summary Statement

I am a Visual Artist. Art lifts my soul. I want my creations to evoke emotion in those who see it, whether it’s tension or just feeling good, ultimately helping us to reconnect with nature, each other, and our souls.

My subject matter has a feminine elegance, whether it is a landscape, face or flower. Each piece is unique with some created using a mix of materials, while others are created using only one or two mediums – ink or paint and charcoal. Everything is captured in the spontaneous dance and movement of the brush or pencil as the marks meet the canvas.

My process involves looking past the obvious and investing close attention to the subject to see beyond the visible . My goal is to inspire those who view my work to look more carefully at the world around them and to find beauty in unexpected places.

Summary Statement

My work can take anywhere from 1 hour to a couple of days to complete. It is my highest passion aside from motherhood. I love to create and take great pride in the art I make, whether its painting or drawing, collaging, styling or choregraphing. It allows me to connect with the present momentarily stopping the business of the world. Making art lifts my soul – I hope my work does the same for those who view it.
