This is my major work for Semester 1, 2023. 28 cups presented to represent the loss of my menstrual cycle. It has been a journey to get to the final work. This journey is shown below.

First trials of a body of work around femininity and cycles. Working on shape and surface design.
Striping it back further. Simple smooth cups with glaze on just the inside. Decided to make 28 cups representing moon/menstrual cycle.
Moving onto working with porcelain. Working with more simple surface design and multiples.

New plan – using a mixture of commercial glazes and reducing firing temperature to cone 5 to reduce burn out of pink colour.
