Jane is a potter working on Jarowair (Wakka Wakka) and Yuggera Country. She is passionate about making bespoke functional work that shows the maker’s hand. Originally a teacher, she is currently extending her ceramic practice through study and is working on expressing story through shape, surface design and glaze development. She loves to learn and is continually extending both her knowledge and skills.

Jane believes that making art and working with clay is healing, and she aims to share this with others through her workshops. She has extensive experience working with people, particularly young people with complex trauma and brings this experience together with her passion for creative expression. Overall, Jane believes in the power of building community through creating beautiful functional items using a mindful approach that benefits both the maker and the user.
