Repeat pattern dishes before glazing.
I was inspired by the artist Sarah Pike to undertake stamping repeat patterns on clay. The oyster mushroom is our local native mushroom and I have referenced this in my work, celebrating place.

Practicing using different rubber/lino type materials. Established the design ideas for the repeat pattern for the clay dishes.

Finished Plates

I enjoyed the repeat pattern exercise so much I decided to continue on cloth. This is an arrow stamp printed over and over on a piece of linen. The geometric becoming organic from the repetition.
