Finalised Drawing/Charcoal Works 2025

“WildBush” is a charcoal done on 300 gsm paper. In this artwork, I tried to convey a sense of emptiness and lack of life and energy, as I aimed to “drain” it of energy. And although I believe I accomplished this, it ended up being the most full of life drawing I’ve ever done due to the amount of energy used and how I became so attached to it.

“SonicStreet” is a graphite pencil work done on 300 gsm paper. SoniceStreet, I did after learning perspective, and it is the first time I accomplished a good perspective. For this piece, I aimed to warp 1-point and 2-point perspective to create an exaggeratedly long street, in which I found a personal accomplishment of understanding how to use perspective.

“The Energy to Change” is a charcoal done on 240 gsm paper. This artwork aims to convey the movement of energy in nature and how it leads us to change. The subject of this drawing is an egg and how it changes, converting its energy to a new form from stage to stage.

Finalised Acrylic Works 2025

“Life of Lemons” is an acrylic piece done on 300 gsm mixed media paper. This artwork explores the idea of taking life and energy out of the base painting and the reappling of life back into it. I achieved this by using a black and white gradient. After the base was done, I went back in with bright colours mixed with gesso and a palette knife.

“Cherry Bomb” is an acrylic piece done on canvas. When painting cherry bomb, I discovered my love for palette knives and how they add texture to a painting. This was one of the first acrylics I had done this year. And could not be happier with it, the inspiration for this painting was the song cherry bomb by the Runaways.

“Lost in colour” is an acrylic piece done on 300 gsm mixed media paper. In this work, I explored distortion and interruption around the human face, I found that I enjoyed that each way this piece is rotated shows a new work.
