7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
A teacher’s professional duty does not end outside the classroom. Pre-service teachers must be constantly on the lookout for opportunities to improve their practice, be this through professional development opportunities, engaging with support circles or consulting with colleagues. There is also a duty to the community to act ethically, legally and responsibly in all facets of the pre-service teacher’s career.
