Ben Ingram
Ben is the Coordinator (Peer Learning) here at UniSQ. He coordinates the recruitment, training and development of students who lead our various Peer Learning programs. The flagship program at UniSQ is PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) (unisq.edu.au/pass). PASS are informal, social and prodcutive study sessions facilitated by current UniSQ students. PASS is founded on collaborative pedagogy and Ben provides training and support for student leaders to facilitate PASS sessions in an interactive and engaging way both online and in person.
Ben has a varied career. He’s worked in schools, Higher Education and the sports industries. Many of his roles focussed on training and developing people to deliver engaging workshops and sessions that meet the needs of learners. He is a big believe in the game sense approach to coaching sport and has been a firm believer in Vygotski’s work on Social Constructivism. Ben is also a father of a growing tribe of little people. He has three children, aged 5, 3 and 10 weeks (as at November 2022!).
