Student Portfolios using WordPress

UniSQ offers the WordPress platform through Create@UniSQ as the preferred choice for student online portfolios. Personal sites for portfolio development can be open to the public or private to the user, or protected for assessment purposes.

WordPress the preferred portfolio platform!

As of July 1, 2023, the ePortfolio (Mahara) platform will not be available for NEW users. 

It is replaced with Create@UniSQ, a service that: 

  • Utilises WordPress as the preferred platform for portfolios and websites
  • Is fully supported technically and pedagogically by the Learning and Teaching Futures edtech team and CampusPress, the outsourced host
  • Supports Employability and WIL and enhances digital literacy
  • Provides transferability upon graduation

    Create@UniSQ Updates for 2023-2024

    A self-serve WordPress site option is now available for those wanting to use the WordPress platform for academic and research purposes (staff and students)

    We are currently scoping and planning a Global Learning Pilot for 2025, that will  enable students to engage with diverse cultures and perspectives through online collaborative learning platforms.

    Student Portfolios using Create@UniSQ

    TechDems successfully piloted student WordPress Portfolios via the Create@USQ portal in 2021-23.

    As of June 2023 this is an ongoing project rollout for all programs, disciplines and courses as required.
